Draft Schedule 2011

If you are intending to attend please can you register in order to allow us to have accurate numbers for catering.

Venue: The Roslin Institute, Easter Bush, University of Edinburgh on September the 7th and 8th 2011.

Training course: There is a Functional Genomics training course available on the 6th. Further information & course schedule.

Dinner: Merchants Restaurant, Merchant Street, Edinburgh on the 7th

This annual meeting attracts delegates originally linked by ownership of Affymetrix GeneChip system but the group has grown and now covers a number of genomics technologies and is not financially affiliated with Affymetrix. Many of the delegates are from UK genomics service facilities focusing on practical problems and solutions to experimental questions.

This year will have 6 sessions covering 4 topics: Gene expression and microRNAs, Next Generation Sequencing, Genotyping and Large Scale integrated data analysis.

This year the UKAFFY meeting will be held at the University of Edinburgh jointly hosted by The Roslin Institute and the Centre for Regenerative Medicine at the new Roslin Institute site at Easter Bush on September the 7th and 8th.

The location of the meeting in the new facilities at Roslin Institute where there are 300+ researchers who although not attending the meeting will be available to look in on your stands.

Travel, accomodation and dinner information

The local organiser is Chieko Kontani.

With UKAffy on the 7th and 8th we have decided to run a one day training course on the 6th.
  • The theme will be “Functional Genomics” and there will be 25 places.
  • The morning will cover arrays, the afternoon RNA-Seq and ChIP-Seq.
  • We will have a demo of a commercial pathway analysis package at the end of the day.
